IN-PERSON AND ONLINE THERAPY IN PLANO, TX

  • Service

Journey to HopeWell is dedicated to helping individuals manage challenging situations that require the expertise of a therapist. Symptom management and personal growth are closely tied to a client's willingness to actively participate in therapy and maintain an open mind throughout the treatment process. Services involve collaborating with clients to ensure that services are tailored to their specific needs and goals.

  • Integrity

Honesty from both the client and therapist is crucial in determining whether therapy can be effective. Trustworthy manners are valued and expected throughout the Social Work profession.

  • Dignity and Worth of the Person

At the heart of services is honoring the client’s autonomy and ability to make independent choices. This approach supports a client’s self-determination and helps them (you) to cultivate abilities and fresh opportunities for personal development. Individuals are treated with dignity and respect, while healthy boundaries are modeled. All of these aspects work in tandem to foster positive transformation.

  • Importance of Human Relationships

Services aim to enhance human relationships by placing clients (those served) at the center of the helping process. Through collaboration, the client and therapist promote, restore, maintain, and enhance the client’s well-being and ultimately, the community at large.

  • Competence

Clients (those served) receive therapeutic services from a licensed and trained professional to ensure they receive the best possible support within the scope of practice. Your therapist continuously enhances and broadens professional skills through ongoing education, training, and license recertification.

  • Social Justice

When you come to Journey to HopeWell, you can expect to receive honest and ethical services and support within the scope of practice. Therapeutic services are based on professional expertise and the mission to help you access valuable resources and opportunities. At Journey to HopeWell, it is a strong belief that you deserve to have access to your basic needs and an understanding of how to make informed decisions to thrive.

(mountain pose asana), yoga is more than getting into a pose. Just like therapy is more than showing up to a session.

so what’s therapy like?

**It all begins with us showing up and keeping it real.

**I try not to use fancy words.

GETTING TO THE NITTY GRITTY WITH BRAINSPOTTING & mindfulness

I provide a welcoming, calm space to support you when you feel anxious, worried, low, or indecisive. I meet you where you are from an integrative trauma-informed approach to help you connect with yourself with curiosity and compassion.

I incorporate self-exploration, self-care, mindfulness, breathing techniques, and somatic therapy interventions to promote healing.

I'm human and know life can be tough too often, fast, and too soon. Not every detail is necessary for healing. Your brain naturally seeks to heal itself, and I'm here to support you in making any progress that is possible.

I understand neither of us is perfect, and I know I'm not trying to be. I support you in being your true self with compassion.

I am a proud spouse of a retired service-connected Marine veteran. I recognize the significance of calling it what it is. I have real professional facial expressions (no AI over here)—depending on the topic, there may be a tear and some laughs.

Empowerment, reliable, and genuine support. I understand that grief, trauma, and life's challenges take many forms and affect us in different ways. It's a team approach for us to get you where you hope to be.

During our work together, we have a mission, which is also referred to as goals. Therapy is only as effective as you show up and the momentum we keep.

I believe in you and demonstrate an unwavering belief in your ability to work and navigate discomfort to help you get unstuck or out of thought loops.

I meet you where you are. This may include compassionate, challenging support- I'm an educator at heart, so I do my best to explain what I know so you can carry it with you along your life journey for long-lasting results.

If you still want to connect, I'm here. I'm available to start some footwork. I look forward to speaking with you!
